Raised in Botswana, Africa, William began his directing career making short, personal projects that captured a sensitivity and emotive tone. His first ever ad was recognized at the Cannes Young Director Award and quickly opened the door to directing tv commercials full time. Grounded in documentary, he has a natural ability for storytelling and crafting emotion with a visual eye. He has developed a body of work that includes major brands such as Samsung, Mercedes, and Adidas. William has worked between commercials, music videos and short films, with his most recent short Unspoken world premiering at Top 10 festival Tribeca in New York City 2021, and has gone on to official selection at over twenty festivals worldwide, winning numerous awards.
