Tomás Posse is a Buenos Aires based director. After spending most of his youth wandering obsessively around Blockbuster, he went on to study filmmaking at Universidad Del Cine, where he discovered Federico Fellini and shot several shorts. Los Bastardos, his latest short film, was world premiered in the official competition of the 75th Venice International Film Festival, also participating in other prestigious international film festivals, such as Mar del Plata, La Habana, Zagreb, apart from being nominated at the Condor de Plata awards (which can be considered the Argentine Oscars) in the category for Best Short Film. He has been working in advertising since 2010. First starting as an AD, he then spent five years of his life travelling around the globe as Andy Fogwill’s creative assistant. He started directing commercials in 2018 and has since then worked for brands such as Coca-Cola, Movistar, Renault, Pantene, Mercado Libre, Fuze Tea, Cablevision Flow, among others. His approach to filmmaking is a highly storytelling driven one, blending subtle and convincing performances, attention to detail, active camerawork, and powerful visuals. He is currently developing the script for his debut feature.
