WELCOME REYNALD GRESSET TO LANDIA’S ROSTER!

LANDIA proudly announces Reynald Gresset’s incorporation to its roster.

Reynald Gresset’s journey as a filmmaker began with his work as an operator for international news broadcasters, filming from Afghanistan to China and Lebanon, Africa to South America. These early experiences gave him great insight into the power of creative expression, shaping his sensibility as a storyteller and filmmaker.

His desire to constantly evolve as a director and master the craft of filmmaking prompted his transition into commercials. He has directed numerous successful commercial campaigns for brands such as Google, Honda, Lexus, Fiat, Heineken, Nissan, Facebook, Toyota, Ikea, among others, he has also helmed a huge Samsung content campaign featuring Rooney, Messi and Ronaldo. Each of these projects showcases his talent in moving fluidly between brands, genres and narrative styles.

His filmmaking approach is defined by his desire to develop and create complex characters and narratives; utilising the cinematic arsenal to delicately execute brilliant stories, with human experience at there core. His naturalistic approach and well-trained eye for aesthetic, leads him to create lucid yet poetic images that translate on-screen into visually sophisticated, cinematic, and truly vibrant imagery.

Gresset’s spot for Leroy Merlin “Life’s adventure” won a Silver Lion at Cannes Lions 2017 and a Bronze Clio Award for its Cinematography, among others recognitions.

According to Sebastian Hall and Carol Dantas, Executive Producers from LANDIA São Paulo:

“We’re extremely excited about having a director with such an amazing trajectory. Gresset’s ads are superb and he has an outstanding sensibility that we deeply believe, will have a great impact over Brazilian industry”.

75th VENICE INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL

“Los Bastardos” the short film directed by Tomas Posse, it has been selected at the 75th Venice International Film Festival, organised by La Biennale di Venezia, and will take place at Venice Lido from August 29th to September 8th, 2018.

A DAY WITHOUT WHOPPER WON @ D&AD AWARDS

“A day without a Whopper” by David Buenos Aires, directed by our emerging talent Vero Von, won a Wood Pencil at the D&AD Awards! Woo hoo!!!

November 10th was ‘McHappy Day’ in Argentina, when all burger sales were donated to a children’s cancer charity. Arch-rival Burger King decided to embrace the cause and withdrew sales of its Whopper burger from all of its restaurants. Well done BK!

CANNES LIONS FESTIVAL OF CREATIVITY 2018

LANDIA won 7 Lions with the content from DAVID São Paulo “THIS COCA IS A FANTA” for Coca-Cola directed by Vero Von, being one of the most awarded pieces from the region -3 Golds, 2 Silvers, 2 Bronzes-, transforming an homophobic expression, in a symbol of Pride for the LGBT community.

In addition to this another 4 Lions:

Two Bronze Lions in FILM CRAFT with “SURVIVORS” by Y&R México for Save the Children, directed by Fran Paparella. A Bronze Lion in ENTERTAINMENT: with the hylarious content from W+K São Paulo “PIMP THE EXPREME NINJA MASTER ..” directed by Lucas Shannon for Old Spice. Finally, a Silver Lion in OUTDOOR category for the multi-screens content from Cheil Madrid for Samsung “PARKOUR SCREENS” directed by Maxi Blanco.

Congrats to 1985 who have reached the Young Directors Awards Shortlist! With the campaign for Breast Cancer Awareness for Macma #EverybodyLovesBoobs, and the lovely & viral content made with Mr. Kenzo Takada. “Kenzo’s hands” for Nowness.

The Young Director Award (YDA) is the only award dedicated to rising young directors since 1998.

Winners will be announced at The Cannes Marriott Theatre, next Thursday 21st of June, celebrating the 21st YDA Award Ceremony.
