As an advertising creative Rodrigo Saavedra travelled the world working for agencies like Mother London, WK Amsterdam, Santo Buenos Aires and Africa São Paulo – before deciding to focus on directing in 2013.

A natural storyteller, Rodrigo has directed films for global brands such as Corona, Budweiser, Nissan, Chivas Regal, Mizuno and Volkswagen, which picked up a Silver at 2015’s Cannes Lions. His latest spot for Scrabble scored a bronze this year too, after it quickly went viral, with Time magazine describing it as “the perfect love story for word nerds”.

On 2015 Rodrigo was also named best director in Iberoamerica at the El Ojo festival of advertising.
